Deluxe Executive Jet Catering is the UK’s pioneer for delivering fine dining inflight food.
Deluxe have been a client of ours for a few years. We initially maintained their existing Wordpress website. Following that we’ve been completing graphic design projects for magazine adverts, flyers, newsletters and more recently a complete redesign of their physical brochure. The new brochure was updated from their current one featuring new images and branding details which is what lead to a redesign of their website.
The objective
The main aim of this project was to recreate a responsive digital version of their physical brochure which allows our client to update the contents using our very own content management system. The red herring in this project was also to allow the user ti switch between their main menu options and the Halal version.
The solution
This brochure website design was primarily taken from their physical brochure. However, it’s difficult to replicate a print version into website design due to tooling available and the print version spans across two pages. To achieve a similar look but essentially combined this into a single landscape page we decided to add the menu options into an accordion. This keeps everything looking tidy and allows the user to interact with the different options.
The menus are using a type of blog/news system which is custom coded using Laravel. This allows our user to create their main and Halal versions of their menus. This helps our client to make quick amendments on the fly. On the home page of the website the user has the option to click a button which toggles between the two menus.
Large call to actions are labelled throughout the website to either entice the user to download their brochures or get in touch.
Some little user interactions have been added across the website to give visual feedback and help generate more clicks.
