Is Next.js right for your project?

Not always, and we would rather say so early. Next.js is worth it when your site genuinely needs to be both interactive and highly visible in search. A brochure site, or an internal system nobody outside the business will ever search for, rarely justifies it.

The practical trade-off is hosting. Next.js needs a different setup to a standard PHP website, which adds cost and another moving part to look after. If the benefit is real, that is money well spent. If it is not, we will point you at a simpler option and explain why.
